There's something very eerie and sinister about descending down into the earth. Be it a natural cavern or a manmade mine, knowing that you're far from the surface can be a very unsettling feeling. You often only have a few ways out and if something were to happen to them - a cave-in or flood for example - you're trapped with no way out.

The UAC may be known for cutting corners, but they've either managed to comply with the minimum safety requirements with their mining operations or gotten really, really lucky. Neither protected them from demonic infestation, however, meaning we have a subterrainean adventure before us that I can only hope isn't full of revenants and chaingunners.
