The second video in my streaming of Curse of the Azure Bonds.

For those of you that saw my let's play of Pool of Radiance, you might remember how unrelentingly brutal that game could get at times. But at least when it threw you into the first dangerous area there was always the chance of escaping. More to the point: you knew where to go in order to get back to the safe area. Not so here, nope, go have a few drinks and suddenly you're trying to assassinate the king and getting thrown in jail.

And now, we have one sort of psuedo-safe area in that it's possible to rest for hours at a time without getting a bad guy coming after us. But we still only have a small idea of exactly what the hell is going on here. As someone who has played the game before (I believe the last time was in the late 80s though) I can tell you that this is the first major bad guy group, but I'm already a little bit out of sorts since I didn't remember getting tossed into the blender this early on in the game. I thought we'd be poking around a sewer area for some general monster threats, not get thrown headlong at the fire knives like this.

Ah well.
