I love this game! :D
My hype for this game did not end up in disappointment like some games did in the past on other Evercade collections. I am throughly enjoying playing through this game - currently I am at 3 of the Boss Orbs.
Though that doesn't mean the game is perfect/without criticism. Unlike Demons of Asteborg, this is not a simple pick-up-and-play game. There are a *lot* of different mechanics here in play, many of which I am still learning about this deep into it.
It can be more than a bit overwhelming for new players, especially for those unfamiliar to the Rouguelike/lite genre. I am fortunate enough to have had experience with a few games in the genre, but others might not be so. The game could have used a small tutorial level, that wasn't randomly generated and doesn't have a boss, to teach some of the mechanics perhaps?
The characters are also pretty unbalanced from each other. The Mage and the Ranger are alright, but the Knight I have found useful in only a few circumstances. You just benefit more from range attacks, and the Knight's weapon feels so much weaker than the others'.
Those criticisms aside, I do love this game and I am so happy Blaze brought this to Evercade. :D
I was originally thinking about making this an LP, but with how long it's been taking me to progress, I decided against it. Maybe after I beat it, I might play it again on stream or something, though. :)
