For today something special: I will try to run this fantastic arcade water racing game on my computer. This is a budget title, that was released by Sold Out Software in 2001 in Europe. The game was originally made by Midway Sand Diego and released in 1999 for the Arcades and in the same year later for the SEGA Dreamcast console as one of the launch titles. The game had also a PlayStation and Nintendo 64 version. Sadly, this game series is more or less dead. The last game released was Hydro Thunder Hurricane in 2010 by Microsoft for the Xbox Live Arcade services. Microsoft had bought the rights to the series after Midway was acquired by Warner Bros (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydro_Thunder).

🟡 About the game:
Hydro Thunder is a fast paced arcade racing game, where your drive different high spead boats (catamarans and such) on different water tracks.

In the late 90s, early 2000s the arcade water racing games were quite popular, just to remember some: Speedboat Attack ( Criterion Studios), Wave Race 64 (Nintendo 64), VR Sport PowerBoat Racing (Interplay), Grachten Racer (Davilex) and more.
