Let's Try: Sky Rogue
Do you like flying? do you like cell-shading? do you like anime sound-effects from shows like Macross? Do you like procedurally generated levels and rogue-lite progression? If you answered yes to at least 2 of the above questions, Sky Rogue is probably a game you want to look at.
It reminds me of the flying games I played in my youth (like F-16 Fighting Falcon, B17 Flying fortress, Aces of the Atlantic) but is at the same time something totally original. The missions are procedurally generated, there's a persistent progression system, and it feels really good to destroy stuff with your arsenal of goodies. The game features a multiplayer mode (that I have not tried), and I can only imagine how much mayhem you could get upto with that.
I have a few small issues with the game (no loop de loops, and the look around camera is _wild_), but nothing that really prevents me from enjoying the game on the whole. I'm going to give Sky Rogue a bit more of my time in a future video for sure.
