I picked this game up from the Racial Justice bundle from itch.io.

STARDROP is a story about 2 salvage and rescue freelancers John and Aryn, as they head off to check on a ship gone adrift. Getting on board, Aryn realizes things aren't right, and the mystery deepens. I'd like to say more about it, but after an hour in change of playing I only just started scratching the surface of this game.

STARDROP is extremely pretty to look at (thanks Unreal Engine) and the voice acting is far, far better than I expected for an indie title. The environments I've been exploring make as much sense as they can in a far future spaceship adventure and ... overall I'm really enjoying the universe that's been created.

I do wish that the stealth elements were removed, and instead treat this game as more of a walking simulator than mixing the genres. The execution is lacking and it takes away from what I'm sure is a really engaging story. Spending time to dodge cameras when I could be getting story is frustrating. I'm hoping there won't be too much more in the game, but we'll have to wait and see.

I'll be returning to this game soon.
