23What happens when a group of modders decide their first project will be to somehow refine, expand and improve upon a classic masterpiece? Nothing really good.
It's not that I don't think there's room for improvement with the original Deus Ex, it's just that I think that it'd require a lot more experience, understanding of game design and commitment to doing the boring work (that is ultimately minor) than Caustic Creative has currently.
Modding classic games can a great way to experiment with ideas and learn how things work - but to simply assume that on your first mod you'll "revise" the work of dozens of seasoned experts because you have a fancy blurb is just rude and hubris.
(And no, I didn't actually punch in all the key codes - I just felt like I had to demonstrate the only reason you'd use a ten digit pass instead of the four... like anyone was going to try all 10,000 possible combinations for a four digit pass) (Also the sunglasses appear to be a random artifact from the DX10 renderer which seems to be the only one that's stable on my PC).
