168So, older WiFi card with a hardware on/off switch that's not working, we take the card out and mask off Pin 13 on the mini-PCI connector. This blocks the 'off' signal from the hardware switch, and the card defaults to On.
Modern cards do this via software control, so not sure if this can be done on mini-PCI-E cards - Great fix for grotty laptops with breaking switches though!
