In this chapter, Max spends some time hanging around campus, checking in on her various classmates and teachers, mainly to test the benefits of her newly discovered time-rewinding skill as she can now change the outcomes of certain mini-events at will, based on newly learned information. She also discovers quite a few new details about the mysteriously disappeared Rachel Amber, who apparently used to be the most admired and impressive student at the entire school. Lastly, in order to get access to her own room in the dormitory, she finds herself standing up to Victoria Chase - wondering whether mercy is, after all, sweeter than pure revenge...
