In this chapter, David finishes gathering together most of his former companions, scattered all over the Sword Coast, and placing them within the safety of the Blushing Mermaid in Baldur's Gate. He then sets about the final stage of his investigation into Sarevok, first storming the building of the Iron Throne to recover Sarevok's diary - an important piece of evidence to exonerate himself from the murders of the Iron Throne leaders - and then rescuing the ailing Duke Eltan out of the headquarters of the Flaming Fist. Now all that remains is to prevent the final part of Sarevok's plot and confront the villain in person...
