Life is Strange | Episode 4 Part 7
Hey everyone! Oh, WARNING- STROBEY LIGHTS AND FLASHYNESS
There, if anyone might be effected by it, you have been warned. Also, severe fps drops buuuut I'm sure not as many people will be affected by that.
So, sorry about the wait! As I said in the video, I ended up having tonsillitis and not just a plain old sore throat. So I've been trying to rest it up a little but I could only stay away from playing for so long, you know? I really like this game, it's fascinating where it takes us. Little bit of moral questions as well! Like, am I secretly a terrible person masquerading as someone who isn't? Or am I secretly a good person pretending to be an evil person playing as a neutral entity? THESE ARE MY QUESTIONS.
These little boxes below the videos, they have become the vehicles of my flitting thoughts. I don't know where I was going with that metaphor. Something about how I've rarely really written much about what the video is actually about in these things, and more actually about what I just so happen to be thinking about in that exact moment of time.
Well I have sixteen more minutes until the video is done uploading. Of course, I could go and actually do the thing where I get ready for the day, or I could not do that. Or I could eat sugar cookies. FOR BREAKFAST. I made somewhere around fifty of them on the weekend and they actually turned out pretty well. I might share some with my coworkers, but that is a definite maybe. I mean, there is more than enough to share, but I could eat all of them! And maybe get fat but it would be soooooo goooooooooood.
Guis srsly stahp. I need to think about other things now. Like... gummy bears. Wait. Shit. Dammit.
I don't have any idea why, but randomly Assasin's creed popped into my head. I haven't fully played any of the games but I've played a fair bit of a couple of them and watched a bunch of the others. And it's all a little strange, isn't? I mean, I love the combat and stabbing people in the throat then scurrying up the walls. But the overarching story through all the games is a little confusing and maybe ... like it pretends what happened before didn't actually happen if it doesn't fit in with the current plot twist?
Which reminds me of the stories I'm writing actually. It's hard to really explain, but the stories are in the frame of reference as if someone watched a movie and then decided to edit it and then present it with most of the key parts included. Like, the actual stories occur between 400-2000 years from now, but the story teller who tells them is somewhere in the future of 10000 years from now. Fuck, what was that movie called again? Nims something. About those kids that found that Teddy Bear from the future and used it to fix there time. And at the end of the movie you discover that it wasn't told by someone from the time of the original professor that made that bear to send back, but was actually from someone even more in the future. Also there was reference that Alice Liddel had also received one of these bears in her time, and maybe others had too, and this bear was the last chance the proffessor had to fix the future.
Which actually doesn't really make sense either. If you assume one single timeline, we create a paradox where the bear was never made to be sent back in time because it had been sent back in time and fixed things. Unless you assume something like, the bear is made and the progress from it is achieved but then hidden until after the professor sends the bear off, and he is able to discover where the results were hidden. I don't know if that actually makes sense, but it could be an explanation.
However, if we assume multiple timelines, where the professor sending back the bear causes a second timeline to occur, it could make a bit more sense, but not in the context of the story that it is told. Has anyone seen or read the Andromeda Strain? The movie or the book by Michael Crichton. I love using this as an example. Both mediums actually hint at there being multiple timelines associated with the event, perhaps even an infinite number as they get stuck in a loop. I'd love to draw it out for you guys sometime. Anyways, the point in the movie we are talking about is where with multiple timelines, the bear can be send back without causing a paradox, however, it does cause the problem where the professor in the second timeline, or post-successful-bear timeline, would actually have no idea about the bear as he was never the one to have actually sent it in this one. Which would be confusing to the future teachers story, unless with the addition to being able to levitate they also gain the ability to view multiple timelines. Orrrr, we could think like Orson Scott Card's Pastwatch novel, where the people looking back are able to deduce the events of the other timeline, from the single object sent back and what events occurred after it.
There is a third option but youtube said my description is too long. So you'll have to wait till next time!
