Use the same strategy as the Noel boss fight and you'll be fine:

-Bring bravery potions (buy them from Ysunaan shops. Don't waste your EPs from Hope anymore)
-Use Fire magic to inflict damage and to flinch him back.
-Use either the "shadow hunter" or the "battle axe of the believers" weapons to raise his stagger meter quicker (You can't steal a lot from him buff-wise, so the battle axe is less effective here).
-Use Bravery potions and overclock when staggered, good luck :)
