[Link's Story] #9 - Finding The Way — Lost Swamp (1/2) || Cadence of Hyrule (100%)
Part 9 of my 100% playthrough of Cadence of Hyrule on the Nintendo Switch.
Two dungeons done, two more to go! Although the initial intention was to explore the rest of the mountain area, we stumble upon the entrance to the Lost Woods instead! Faithful to its name and reputation, the forest itself is a looping labyrinth, and it doesn't take much for us to end up completely lost in the middle of it. With seemingly no way back out, we've got no choice but to delve deeper into these woods, hoping some sort of clue will eventually come along to help us figure our way out of there...
One thing to note about Tingle's Dowser is that it uses the HD Rumble feature of the Switch controller to point toward the way to go. The louder the rumble, the closer you are to the correct path, and it's possible to sense the direction too! Alternatively, if vibrations are set to off in your console settings, the item will output audio instead. I wasn't aware of this use of the feature when I recorded this segment, so I'm actually listening to the rumble feedback in this video. Since you obviously can't feel that while watching, the sounds the Dowser would have made were edited in afterward so you can follow along better. I hope you'll appreciate this little touch!
