Playing windows games on Linux using Wine:
World of Warships

** EDIT 20/07/2017 **
Tested in a fresh wineprefix, the audio crackling is now fixed :
WINEPREFIX=/pathtoprefix/winewarship WINEARCH=win32 winecfg
set windows version to windows xp (as the game will crash in windows 7 mode)
Install d3dx9 update using winetricks
WINEPREFIX=/pathtoprefix/winewarship ./winetricks d3dcompiler_43 d3dx9_43
cd /pathtoprefix/winewarship/drive_c/Games/World_of_Warships/
WINEPREFIX=/pathtoprefix/winewarship WINEDEBUG=-all wine WoWSLauncher.exe

** Important Note **
This video doesn't reflect how the game is in fact compatible with wine : Due to a lot crackling sound, the music as been disabled in game and added to the video during editing (to cover up all this noisy sound effects)

Unfortunately, based on my own experience, on a wine compatibility scale, I'd give this application a bronze rating :
- Because, the game suffers a lot of audio crackling !
( Disabling pulseaudio and using alsa only leads to a little less crackling sound, but it's still far from good )
- You need to disable Post-Processing and set texture filtering to bilinear or trilinear in the video options
- Some weird graphical glitches from time to times

World of Warships is a Massively Multiplayer Online Game by Wargaming.net ( similar to world of tanks ).
Two teams of battleships confront each other on a map; win is either earn by capturing objective or by destroying every ennemies's ships.
