Playing PSP games on Linux using PPSSPP :
Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy is an JRPG developed and published by Square co in the 1987 on the NES and the installment in the Final Fantasy franchise.

The game turns out to be an instant hit, and as such, was released on many platform. This video shows off the 20th's anniversary 2007 PSP remastered version (Updated 2D Sprites and musics, video effects and cinematics)

Some graphical glitches here and there (mainly, black thick lines in the background in the Overworld) Anyway, the game runs great.

Edit 21/12/2016 :
On archlinux the game is crashing with ppsspp 1.3 and newer version of ffmpeg (see bug : https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/9026 )
As of writing this issue is still not resoved yet.

To play this game on archlinux, you need to downgrade to an older ppsspp version : 1.2
You can manually rollback to an older package version from your own local cache (giving that you had download this older package in the past)
pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ppsspp-1.2.2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
Or by using arch linux archives, (see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?title=Arch_Linux_Archive for more details)
Older package version of ppsspp are available https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/p/ppsspp/

OS : Archlinux rolling release ( http://www.archlinux.org )
