Live service games suck!
25Today we're talking about the latest attempt to take all the money from your wallets via the live service model of gaming. That's right, the new DC game joins The avengers, Evolve, Fallout 76, Anthem among many other live service gaming disasters.
Kill the Justice League doesn't necessarily look like a bad game in my opinion but the publisher clearly wanted to keep that constant revenue coming in and Rocksteady have to deal with the consequences now. I've seen a lot of people online complain that Rocksteady have lost their touch and ruined the Arkham Batman universe and all that kinda stuff. But we don't know what goes on behind the scenes, we don't know the mandates put on them, the timelines, the monetization that was probably demanded by Warner Brothers as a publisher.
And I feel really bad for studios that have to go through this, there was probably a great idea at some point for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. But then it got noted on by the publisher, demands made, changes done that messed with the vision of the game and I think that sucks.
