Hello Generals,
The year is 2023, and it is time for the yearly biggest ZH tournament The World Series. Today will be the WS announcements: which month will be crowned as WS month and which month will be the qualification month? Some briefly information for today, more details will be announced in a later state.
Along with this announcement, there will be a WS related challenge. Several WS challenges will be hosted before the World Series 2023 will take place to get the hype to a max and to raise donation to make this year's World Series the biggest ZH event of all time.
Today's challenge will look back at the World Series of 2020. A great tournament this was. It had the good oldies dk.crazy and Karro, it had the comeback of Excal who reached all the way to the finals, it had a single demotrap that denied Vivid from reaching the finals. So many memories this tournament created.
Out of the 64 players that joined this WS, 2 will be playing today. The first one was the winner: Boycah. He became BIG Boycah, after beating Excal in the finals where he got his revange after losing the WS final of 2019. He won $930, which is more than 4.5 times the price of the famous demotrap he used against Vivid.
The second player in today's challenge had also an impressive tournament: Shaye (aka ShayeSaintJohn , aka Raging_K). His route wasn't easy with CW winner FreeStyler in round one (5-4), BiG^Size in round two (another 5-4) and Dominator in round three (6-4). In the quarterfinals he got defeated by Excal (6-4), but his performances were impressive nonetheless. This does raise the question: What if it was Shaye who reached the finals?
And that is what today's challenge is all about: Boycah vs Shaye, with the matchups and maps from the WS 2020 finals (with some small adjustments). Would Boycah still have won if it was Shaye who reached the finals instead of Excal or would Shaye went on beating all the experts? The answer to this question will be given today.
