Welcome to part 1 of my livestream series for Puppet Master: The Game.
And rogues? You have no idea how excited I am for this one given Puppet Master is my all time favorite horror movie series (namely given during my rambling at 8:58 I said the puppets were 12 feet tall instead of 12 inches)
Created by Charles Band and distributed by his studio Full Moon Features, The story of the series (though its chronology is over the place and has quite a few plot holes) involves a puppeteer named André Toulon who utilizes a special formula to animate a group of diminutive but deadly puppets each with their own personalities and abilities.
Throughout the movies and a timeline that spans many years, the puppets find themselves under the servitude of different masters of good and evil with the puppets reflecting the morality of whoever controls them.
The films are cheesy 90's horror at its finest and while later entries over the years haven't been as good as their predecessors, the films have been popular to a point of developing cult status with toys, comic books, Halloween masks, a crossover movie (with Demonic Toys, another Full Moon Features horror series) and a video game that started out in development in 2012 as a fan game by October Games before being made into an official game endorsed by Full Moon.
Today that game released as a free to play early access title on Steam and given I played the original single player demo on my YouTube channel years ago and have livestreamed the multiplayer prototype from 2015 before with a few people with me being impressed with both even each being heavily outdated, I'm happy to finally be able to see a much more polished and updated version of Puppet Master: The Game.
So tonight I'll be trying out the single player mode and will eventually be playing the multiplayer mode alongside Deseptus and others (likely after I get moved into my new house soon)
