Logic Pro X - Amaterasu - composition walkthrough
Just a quick walkthrough on one of the new tracks I composed recently.
A lot of melodic doubling on various instruments with various flavours. Been playing a lot of Skylanders with my kids thus the inspiration.
Modern adventure or RPG game music, maybe a town theme. Amaterasu is a goddess of the sun.
The last year I’ve been jumping between Logic Pro X, Bigwig and Studio One. But somehow I’m always drawn back into Logic since I know it inside out and it has a very nice score editor. hehe… Oh, and since I do a lot of video game scores Logic also never fails exporting seamless looping mp3s in splendid quality.
Some of the libraries used in the composition: Hollywood Strings, Albion, East West Symphony Play etc.
As you can see I used a piano sound from EXS24 Logic stock sounds, I could easily have switched to a better sounding piano but within a mix like this it really does not matter that much. You an go very very far with the stock sounds in Logic. Just add a touch of good reverbs and EQ.
Sorry for the quickness switching between the tracks but I wanted to show as much as possible through the video!
Please subscribe if you want more music! =)
Hope you enjoy!
Cheers,
