The original editions contained a free copy of the english version of the "Mortal Contagion" gamebook. Conversions for other computers including Amiga were announced but never saw the light of day.
It was the third Lone Wolf video game, the first not being Spectrum only, followed by the fourth twenty years later; however, it has no links with the other titles.
It was also republished for DOS under the title Tower of Fear, removing any references to Lone Wolf.

The main character, Lone Wolf, must face the towering fortress of Khazan-Gor (which belong to an evil wizard) to recover a precious stone.
Khazan-Gor is infested with numerous traps, including the Mirror of Death, which Lone Wolf has just destroyed.
Seven demons are freed from the mirror, each from a fragment. Lone Wolf must explore Khazan-Gor, which has the shape of a large tower expanding as it rises, branching out into several other towers, and find and defeat the demons one by one, armed with a sword and some magical powers called Kai, which can be selected at the beginning of the game (4 out of 8 total available).

Here's a brief overview of the Towering Fortress of Khazan-Gor; numebers stands for the right route order.

Many many thanks to minotaurus for this longplay, he played a lot this game in his childhood (in an italian bootleg version), so he still remember how to quickly complete this adventure.

This video is part of the videogame endings database, whose goal is to catalogue and create the world's largest archive of videogame endings! (what an humble and not ambitious project :D)
