This is the longplay of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Zeruda no Densetsu: Yume o Miru Shima, Japan), an action/ adventure/rpg game, originally released in 1993 for the Game Boy Classic, and which had a conversion for Game Boy Color called Link's Awakening DX (Deluxe) released in December 1998, with full color graphics and some changes and additions to the gameplay. This is the DX version.

Link's Awakening is the fourth game in the The Legend of Zelda series and, unlike its predecessors, it is not set in Hyrule, but on an island called Koholint. Our hero, Link, was traveling by sea in order to improve his skills, when he suffers an accident during a storm at sea and ends up on Koholint, a tropical island where he is saved by Marin and Tarin.

Marin is fascinated by Link and the world outside the island, saying that she would like to cross the ocean. Link manages to retrieve his sword and a mysterious owl tells him that he needs to wake up the Wind Fish, the island's guardian, in order to return home. Wind Fish is asleep inside a giant egg at the top of Mount Tamaranch and can only be awakened by the eight musical instruments in the game.

Link will need to go through eight dungeons and in each of them face a boss (called Nightmare in this game) and with each challenge overcome, in addition to winning a Heart Container, he also retrieves a musical instrument. During the adventure, Link will obtain items like Secret Seashells, bombs, arrows and others and will always have the assistance of Owl and Island characters in various missions, among them the sequence of exchanges of key items and two exclusive features of the DX version: filling in a photo album and the Colorful Dungeon.

The graphics are phenomenal by Game Boy standards, the gameplay, even with a few buttons, is very fluid and the sword has a good range and can be used to destroy enemies and pick up items like Rupees and Hearts. The game was a huge public and critical success, having received several awards, with its striking history, excellent gameplay and the whole set very well worked. This video includes:

- All Heart Pieces
- All optional items
- All photos
- Interactions with the characters
- Colorful Dungeon
- 20 Secret Seashells (there are 26 in the game, but I chose to take only the 20 needed to not delay the game's schedule, as it includes many side missions, the day I play the Normal version I get all the Seashells)

It is a wonderful game. I hope you enjoy the video.
