After pushing through hordes of hostile forces in the midst of their kingdom, we finally reach the end of the Fuath’s shenanigans and defeat their leader in a sort of duel. Surprisingly, they all still seem quite jolly and optimistic about the whole endeavor. So happy and content with the situation, in fact, that they are offering us their relic, a golden crown, with no resistance.
...or so we thought, until the idea of trading our lives via assimilation for the crown was a much more “wonderful idea”.
Fortunately for us, we had received a water-breathing blessing from a friendly turtle man named “Soroban” during our time in the Ruby Sea (in the previous expansion, “Stormblood”). With it, the Fuath’s underhanded attempt to drown us was completely nullified. On top of that, it would seem all of our other companions managed to survive the attack as well. And with that hectic venture behind us, and one of the three relics obtained, we now take our attention elsewhere towards the other peoples of Il Mheg.
Hopefully they’ll be more cooperative than the Fuath, but we shall see when we meet them.
