The meta may or may not have come into my house and beat the 5h17 outta me at one point.
I feel like I could expand more on the topic, but on the same token, I don't feel like I'm too acquainted with FFXIV's version of the meta to be able to discuss it more seriously. I am aware of WoW's meta state and what it's done to its community though, so most of my stance comes from my experience from over there. Shoot, I wouldn't feel safe or comfortable talking about the topic if I made this video during my WoW days because of how engrained it is in WoW's society, but it bugs me to no end. If anything, I am mostly concerned with the idea that the same mentality would foster into a more adamant presence into FFXIV's community as well, since it tends to grow exponentially larger the longer a game is out.
All-in-all, I don't really say all of my complete thoughts on the matter, but it's something I was thinking about one day, and just kinda stuck on the topic.
