The current Netflix, and former FX show, ‘Lucifer’ has been a smash hit and loved by fans across the globe. The crime procedural provides a fun and fresh tone to the genre and the meticulous details added in by the writers make it one of the best written shows around. But what you might not know is, the show is based off of a comic book character, with the character first appearing in Neil Gaiman’s ‘Sandman’ before gaining his very own series. The show does however deviate a lot from the source material, with the comic books being a lot darker than its onscreen counterpart. But, with the writers being as meticulous as they are and with a real passion for the show and the source material there are a number of Easter eggs and hidden references scattered throughout.

In this video we will take a look at 15 different comic book references and Easter eggs you may have missed in the show. From little nods to the original character, hidden meanings and even really dark jokes hidden in casual conversation get ready to enter hell again as we go back to the world of Lucifer.

Did you catch all these Easter Eggs? Are you a fan of both the comic books and the show? Any we missed? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to subscribe to the channel today for this and more Lucifer content.
