The WandaVision trailer has given us our best glimpse so far of what’s in store for us when WandaVision hits Disney+ in December, and what it’s shown has been incredible. It also gives us the biggest clues yet that Wanda Maximoff is taking the Marvel Cinematic Universe directly into the House of M storyline that saw Wanda reshaping the entire reality of Earth 616...twice. Little Easter Eggs and the appearance of characters like the Wanda’s twin children Thomas and William, aka Wiccan and Speed, drop hints that the Mutants might find their way into the MCU in the same way their numbers were greatly reduced in the Marvel Universe. Some key players are already in place, namely Doctor Strange who Wanda will be joining for the second movie for the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Some characters are set to take the place of other characters in the original story, like the chance that Anna Gasteyer is playing Agnes Hartness, the witch that showed Wanda her Scarlet Witch-y ways. Agents of SWORD could stand in as a concerned party in the absence of the X-Men until they arrive as a product of the House of M arc. If Wiccan and Speed can survive the mayhem, there might even be a set up for the rumored Young Avengers that could be key to the coming story of the MCU. With all these pieces coming together, it’s shaping up that the MCU’s House of M could even outshine it’s comic book counterpart.
