Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best Dragon Ball games ever not only because of its awesome gameplay and graphics, but also it’s attention to detail. There are so many times when the game either references or straight copies an iconic moment from the anime and everytime it does, it just reminds us how much we love the anime and this game.

It has specific references to the end of Goku’s epic fight with Frieza, Gohan turning Super Saiyan 2 to beat Cell, Goku going Ultra Instinct for the first time, Goku and Frieza teaming up to take down Jiren and so many more! The game is full of callbacks like that that really turn this game into super special. But as good as all those moments are, there is oftentimes the conversation of whether the anime or the game did it better. Yes, the game oftentimes has better graphics than the anime, but the anime has more time to make these attacks and finishing moves really effective in terms of power and emotion.
