LV Tetsu MUGEN #10: The End of an Era - Tetsu's Retirement from Team WindStreakers
I remember when I first got MUGEN, I wanted to try out one of the first characters that caught my eye. Yes, that was indeed XCB's Tetsu Yatogi. Of course, at the time, I didn't knew how borked he was, but even though I do know now, I really didn't care as he pretty much was the personification of my fighting game style: massive combo rape. So I kept him as long as I could without any regrets despite probably getting made fun of for having him so long (along with several other members that I still have). But now, times have changed, and all good things must come to an end.
Tetsu's final match is against Kaori Yanase made by the same creator as Tetsu, XCB. Ironically enough, Kaori was the first sparring partner for Tetsu when I first tried to play as him... and due to suckage got my ass kicked a bit. Now, with an AI patch equipped, Kaori is now even more annoying than I remember. A blockwhorish, evasive, and opportunistic AI combined with questionable moves (her "Dead Space Shoes" projectile) makes this fight nearly a pain. It's just a matter of taking advantage of any opening available.
And so, this ends Tetsu's tenure as a part of the WindStreakers. For better or for worse, I was glad to have him aboard. Now, Tetsu, you can vanish into the mist... may you soul of the wind carry you onward as freely as the winds themselves blow.
Tetsu Yatogi - one of the founding members of Team WindStreakers: March 28, 2008 - November 8, 2009
Stage: Moonlight Battle
BGM: Nightmare King's Dream OC Remix by Shane Barber (Little Nemo the Dream Master)
=======================
Vucious' Random Rant: Although Tetsu's time as a WindStreaker is over, he is still not quite done oddly enough. He still has a part to play in my storyline in which I REALLY need to get back into. Once that's done, then he will be officially finished. Thus brings up another question: Who's going to be the one to replace him? Any thoughts?
