This is not a hack. What this does is change your host file so that mabipatch.nexon.net (which is the patch server) points to one of the working CDN (Content Delivery Network) servers. Nothing more. There is little purpose in doing this except for when the patcher times out.

Under normal conditions, the CDN and Nexon will simply be competent and this won't be necessary.

The file to open on Windows XP, Vista and 7 is
"C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts"
On Vista and 7 you need to run Notepad with administrative privileges in order to save it.

The line to add to hosts is:
174.35.24.78 mabipatch.nexon.net

Make sure to remove it after, as the CDN's may be changed at a future date, and it's preferable to use the fastest CDN as opposed to just the one that everyone else is using.
