This is an inlay woodworking project I am making to send to someone as a gift. I am using my work place's industrial sized CNC machine to carve this. I've been using this machine to build cabinet parts for the last two months. This is my first time trying a personal project.

I designed the inlay in the V-Carve application. The base wood is Walnut, and the inlay wood is Beech. The beech has some chip out, so. I will remake the inlay section again, maybe using maple instead. The finished parts are just over 8 inches across.

Expect an update to see me remake the inlays, glue them together, then mill the top half of the inlay off and finish it.
