Mafia II - small vaulting glitch
6Something small I found when playing through this game. With certain types of objects you can vault over, you can have Vito do the vault in front of the object, so that he looks to sink inside the ground. From what I tried in about four different areas, nothing special happened. Would've been cool if you could have breached floor or whatever with this trick.
You first have to do a vault over an object while running. Then, lean analog stick back towards the object you just vaulted over, then spam cover and try to vault again instantly. Vito will miss the object and vault over nothingness instead. The object has to be middle-sized, like a railing, and Vito has to be able to cover against it for this to work.
As a bonus clip, some attempts to gain more height using a car and opening your car's hood to use as a ramp. A pretty funny tactic, but from what I've seen on Youtube, there are better ways to gain height in this game. Also, another clip in which I test covering while at a decent height. Vito slides in air for a moment until reaching the covering location.
