Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game originally made by Bethesda for the MS Dos. For this playthrough, we are using the Unity remake of the game and a lot of mods to enhance the experience. The game involves navigating the sensitive political landscape of the Illiac Bay, a region of Tamriel on the fictional planet of Nirn comprising of the countries within the bay as well as the various fragmented powers surrounding it on both High Rock and Hammerfell. We have been sent to the place on a mission by our Emperor Uriel Septim VII to investigate two curious instances, the shade of King Lysandus that roams the streets of Daggerfall at night and a letter that he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall a few years ago that never reached her. Despite being a dungeon crawler at heart, Daggerfall places a lot of emphasis upon the player's individual exploration as choosing one among the various political factions in the region as they navigate the complex mess that is the Illiac Bay. In this playthrough, we will be playing as a Spellcaster and will shift our focus towards the Mages' Guild and the Order of Arkay.

Fearing that Strangeblood wasn't able to find his way because he lacked experience, he went back to the Mages' guild to hopefully learn more about what has been calling him to Menevia while gaining more experience at the same time. In that regard, the guild gave him two tasks. The first one was to slay a pet project of a scholar that has gone rogue.

It had been a part of a magickal experiment and has been imbued with all kinds of powers as a result. Being creatures of no less intelligence, it has become drunk on its new powers and has decided that it is fit to rule a part of Menevia. Strangeblood is tasked with shattering its dreams and bringing its severed head back as proof. So off Strangeblood goes and back he arrives in a matter of a day with the lifeless face of a certain scholar's pet project.

The next task given unto him was to protect an honoured mage within the Mages' Guild while he remains in a state of trance for three hours. Many thieves came to kill the old man, but none could make it past Strangeblood. However, the end of this seemingly simple quest spawned a torrent of trials and tribulations for him as he found countless assassins after his life, telling him to stop investigating King Lysandus or risk losing his life. There were more letters instructing sellswords to dispatch of our lovely protagonist and all of these letters were written by someone with the initial of W.

But that's when Strangeblood made his first breakthrough. He found a letter in his bag with no clue who might have placed it there. It told him of the truth behind the Totem of Tiber Septim and how it is in fact, something that a battlemage of Tiber Septim once made exclusively for use by his blood. The letter was signed simply, a friend.

However, the strange sensation of a piece of the puzzle still missing still nagged as Strangeblood and as he was resting in a room in the Tavern, he found himself the target of a zombie of all things. Upon putting the creature to a final and rightful rest, he noticed that there was something carved into the flesh of the zombie. It was an invitation to Scourg Barrow by none other than The King of Worms himself. Of all the ways to deliver a message.

While the mystery of Menevia might not yet be solved as easily, Strangeblood has finally found something else to occupy his time with in the meanwhile. His next stop, a visit to Scourg Barrow to meet with the King of the Necromancers himself. Looking on the bright side, magic is magic, even though it may be frowned upon by everyone and might be repulsive by its very nature.

Here is the Mantella Revealed itself to strangeblood:

03:33 The Rogue Imp
08:47 The Honoured Mage
