MAGFest 2024: Creating an Accessible Board Games
Board games are a way to bring friends together for a good time. Why should people with visual impairments be excluded from this experience? This panel will cover what it means to make an accessible board game, industry strategies to improve access to games, methods for modifying board games, and what game designers can do to make their games enjoyable for all! It will conclude with a group activity where participants can share ideas for modifying a classic board game, as well as a chance to play with some modified games!
Panelists: Erika Maris-Teal [Teacher, @tviteal on Instagram], Octavia Hayes [Reference Librarian]
