Greetings Nerdarchy,
I have a player in my game that asked me an interesting question that I just have no answer for. Was hoping you could help, and I think it would be an interesting discussion none the less.
I have a joined campaign world with one of my players, much like what Dave and Ted run in. So my player built a Life domain Cleric who prays to WAKEEM. In his campaign, I played a Ranger who followed Selune. As a cool little item, and to throw it in his face, I created a magical pendant for the Cleric that boosted his healing.... It's the symbol of Selune. So after an initial chuckle, I kind of forgot about it.
Now a few weeks into the game, my player came to me. He said that since he's been channelling almost every spell through the Selune pendant, should he be able to change his Clerical deity away from WAKEEM to Selune? Now, obviously from a mechanical standpoint it makes no difference. But I want to use this switch as a really good Role Playing opportunity. As well as have it impact the campaign as a whole... what I'm stuck on is how to do those things. Help me Nerdarchy, you're my only hope!
