27Today I bring you something very special: Magic Pockets in Mega Drive version, a homebrew port of one of the most remembered classics of the 90s. Originally created by The Bitmap Brothers, this game puts us in the shoes of a boy with magic pants… who can store weapons, objects and even launch whirlwinds like a pixelated superhero! The visual style is pure Bitmap: large sprites, scenarios with a lot of personality and that nineties aesthetic that we miss so much. The Mega Drive version is surprisingly fluid and respects the spirit of the original, with improvements that make it even more playable on console. It is one of those unofficial ports made with care, that make you think what it would have been like if SEGA had released it in its day.
