The next thing I plan to do is try the New Game 1 Energy Element category. This is a category that was originally only for New Game+. It used New Game+ to immediately get the Alter Weapons and Super Mode and used an interesting Chomp Claw trick (dubbed Wily 6 Early) to get into the Dojo Wily stage room and play Wily 6 to end the game. The category was about 15 minutes. Bored found a way into the Wily room with only Alter Weapons, no Super Mode needed at some point and thus, this category was birthed. The aim is to get all 170 Noble Nickels in the entries, get the Alter Weapons, and then do Wily 6 Early.

For the route, there's no need to worry about the Zero cutscenes like we usually do in other categories. We don't get any any Energy Elements, so they don't appear. Moreover, all the stages are predetermined. We just want to go to all the stages with Noble Nickels and get them all. Thus, we just need to decide what order to do them in. And there's the problem. There's a lot of stages that are really long and Energy Saver would save a tremendous amount of time in. Like pretty much all of Tier 10, Joe Man, Spiky Situation. So my route is to go to the right at Dr. Light's Lab at the start of the game and do Tier 1, then 5, 4, 3, 2, visit Knight Man to get the Hub Fast Travel, do all of Tier 9, then go back to Knight Man and get Energy Saver, then continue right, doing Tier 6, then 7, 8, and finally 10 before going to the Dojo and doing Wily 6. I thiiink this is the best way to go about this. Not completely sure though.

Very long stage and one that we have to do pretty much all of thanks to the last Nickel being right at the end. The thing about this stage is that the enemies all have massive amounts of health but they have weaknesses to various weapons that kill them fast. The Draygonian warriors are all quite weak to Slash Claw but immune to Triple Blade. This means you have to get close to them to take them out which is rough when some of them have a pretty large reach with their swords. Flash Stopper is also good. The Serpents are the next big annoying thing, having a lot of health and not really being weak to anything convenient. Best thing I can think of with the level design is that when you need to kill them, use Wheel Cutter. If you don't, use Jewel Satellite to just ignore their shots.

This is one of the stages in the route, pre-Energy Saver, where the upgrade would be super useful. Surprisingly not for more Super Arrow ammo, but for more Flash Stopper. I think Flash Stopper would be really good in some of those Anemone rooms or the first room with enemies after the aesthetics switch.
