Well, a bit late, but here's the trailer for the Mega Man Zero 3 Perfect Run series that's upcoming. Before I get into why I'm a little behind on getting this up, let me run you down what this run's all about:
-Played on NG+ mostly for the satellite elf for the rolling slashes. Getting that midgame is kinda lame, so I wanted it early just for all around swag. Having the disks already collected also speeds the stages along a fair bit (If you want 100%, watch X MaverickHunter's Zero 3 run).
-No charge attacks (charged Recoil excluded, since it's mostly utility and not damage). This is mainly to give EX Skills more spotlight, as there's too much charge spam going around on youtube as is and you can speedrun this game just fine without them. Hard Mode itself is proof of that.
Premise: As implied above, this run is more about standing out on it's own identity and maximizing the potential of both Zero and my own play. Looking back at all the footage now, I can easily say with pride that this is my best work to date (hence the pun title), and that makes me happy, considering this is not only my favorite Mega Man game, but favorite game in general. Zero 3 is basically my baby, so I'm going to treat it special and deliver the best experience I can.
...This run would've been done by now, but hey, life likes to be dumb. Long story short, some idiot totaled my car back in the middle of March (WHILE IT WAS PARKED IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE) and it's been hell and back to get all that sorted out. With the combination of the insurance companies dragging their feet and my job driving me nuts being insensitive to my previous transportation limitations (seriously, stop asking me to stay late when I'm on someone else's time to get there... lol), it's been a bit taxing. So I've been slowly sidelining this project to keep it's quality high (because a special run like this shouldn't be rushed) and just been casually gaming when I'm able to relax these days. Thankfully, most of the compensation has been taking care of when it comes to my car, and I finally bought a new one this weekend. While we still have home renovations upcoming that will still separate me from my primary PC for an extended time (whenever the time comes), things are mostly back to normal now. I SHOULD finish the run before the timeframe specified in the video (I only have the final two stages left to record), but just in case the home renovations start up earlier than expected, the timeframe should be an accurate ETA. If I do finish before the renovations begin, I'll just port my editing program over to my laptop and edit/upload the run from there.
Anyway, that's enough updating. The video you should see after this one will definitely be the Zero 3's intro stage in full.
