Major Map changes - Details from the Devs - Apex Legends Season 9
36Today, the lead map designer for Apex Legends released a detailed explanation for many of the key map changes in the season 9 update. We'll run down the highlights!
There is a ne POI between Bonsai Plasa and Orbital cannon, called the Icarus. a docked ship with plenty of area to fight, lots of loot and a random dropped key card that open the ship's bridge, which will have the best loot in game. The devs said they think 4 teams can land hear and be ready to rock in short order, but we'll have to wait to see if that plays out.
Next the dev, talks about the redeploy balloon changes, that they have made. Mainly they have removed the Golden Gardens and orbital cannon balloons entirely, have lowered many balloons including solar array and energy depot, PS5 and docks.
They expect that teams will need to rely on the Tridents and movement abilities like Valk's to make those key rotations. Will it work? Is the map to big to me removing key infrastructure? We'll find out in a week's time, but until then stay subscribed to keep up to date on all the Apex news.
