So I needed a way to more efficiently store my airsoft collection so I designed a gun rack quite some time ago. It took a while to be able to get my hands on some wood. I had to get a hand mill which I didn't have and have never used before. Also I needed some time off since it has been quite busy with work lately.
For those interested in the dimensions and want to make something like it. The two vertical planks were 1200x400x28 mm. The grove for the multiplex was 100 mm long, 10 mm deep, 6 mm wide and cut at the 800 mm height. This was for leaning the rifles against. Another grove was made on the top to allow for attachment of the horizontal plank. It was also 6 mm wide, 200 mm long and 10 mm deep.
The horizontal plank was 800x300x28 mm. Two groves were cut in the bottom to attach to the two vertical planks and it had the same dimensions. The groves on top to allow for the small frame and prevent the guns for sliding were 80mm and 500mm long, respectively. Depth and width were the same as for the rest. They were cut at 10 and 490 mm from the left edge and 10 mm from the back (for the small frame). The front were cut at 50mm and 100mm from the front and 100 mm from the left edge.
two small frame planks were 500x100x18 mm and had a grove 10 mm from the top and were 80 mm long. Unlike previous groves this one goes around the corner to slot in the top multiplex plate. They also had groves on the bottom to attach to the horizontal plank.
The bottom multiplex was 820x125x6 mm with 50 mm diameter on the hole size and a 50 mm depth difference which allowed for several rifles to be stacked next to each other. Note that this isn't sufficient for all rifles. My dragonuv for example needs more space, same for my M40 however my ak-47, M870 and PPSH-41 were perfectly fine being that close to each other.
The top multiplex was 500x10x6mm.

If you need some more info when you plan on making this yourself then be sure to leave a comment and I help out :D
