Making custom tokens for my board games as well as for my D&D campaign is something that I have really wanted to do for a long time. I have been a long time fan of Magic: The Gathering and play it quite often with my best friends. I have also always been interested in map making and world building and have often spent hours crafting a cool fantasy world or drawing a fantasy map in ink.

My friend Shaun one day suggested the idea of creating a map using the art from Magic the Gathering cards and using a hex tile system. It was then that this idea was born of combining wooden laser cut hex tiles with the art from left over basic lands from Magic The Gathering.

Please join me as we experiment and explore how to make some very basic do it yourself map making systems to use in your next Role Playing Game or Dungeons & Dragons campaign!

Customise all of your future game maps!
