"MALEFICENT" by balli {All Coins} | Geometry Dash 2.11
1,335This is a really nice design level by balli. He has made a lot of good levels in the past, but the ones I've played haven't stood out a lot. This one does, though. While the designs and decorations are all cool, the highlight that makes this level unique is at 0:37. The visuals of this part are certainly fitting of the song's drop. I love the rainbow colors, and the animation of the butterfly, stars, and blocks is great. It would be even better if more parts had equally high quality, but it's still a very good level overall. For example, all the other parts are monochrome and could use some more color mixing. More effects would also be welcome, but it's of course difficult to come up with and make many good ones. Still, I think this will get an Epic rating, and it will most likely be 7 stars.

Silver. 2/4. There is only one coin in the level, and its concept is actually very unique. Unfortunately the execution is very lacking, though.
- 1st coin: Silver. You might see me take a short alternate route at 0:01, and you'd assume it's for the coin. No, it's not. Why is it there? I don't know. To get the coin, all you need to do is get the mini coin at 1:00, which is slightly harder than the normal route, and then the coin 2 seconds later. The point here is that the mini coin is added on the right side and tips the scale clockwise, enabling you to reach the coin. You can see the scale without the mini coin collected at 0:10. This scale concept is really cool and unique, but I wish balli did more with it. First of all, there should have been more mini coins to collect. And why weren't the mini coins custom collectibles in the form of bars instead? Then it would make much more sense that they tipped the scale. Now imagine if the bars on the left and right had a different color, making it even clearer where each collected bar is added, and you could have ones in the "wrong" color that tips the coin away. As it is right now, it's just a boring mini coin that moves the coin in your direction with some fancy visuals. It's slightly harder than the normal route, but very easy to get while fulfilling very little of its potential.
