air raid is a shmup by Seibu released in 1987 or something. it's quite basic, shoot shit, collect powerups, dont die; it's basically raiden 0 due to it's codename of JJ1, while raiden is JJ2.
every 500,000 true score, the game calls you a greater player and awards you 1,000,000 points, 3 bombs and an extend, and allows you to write a fun message to give to the next player who reaches 500K.
upon reaching 10m I had like 13 lives left after recovering a lot as well, the game is pretty easy.
this game has a graphics rom that i think is soldered to the fucking pcb? its covered in some black epoxy hell material, so the roms cannot be dumped yet.
so the graphics don't work, but the game code seems completely intact.
