Mame Game & Watch + Handheld & The Lists To Play Them 271 Games
Time Line

Mame had an update that changed the artwork to make use of a higher resolution format the .lay files display. So that's why the older files don't work anymore.
Here's a link to some newer artworks, some still not working. But for some games these are a necessity as some of the graphics are in the artwork and bring life to the otherwise black & white display. These are not needed but do bring some added eye candy to the game & enhance the nostalgia.
