Steps to Manage Foreign Configurations
1. Access the RAID Controller BIOS Settings
During server startup, press F2 when prompted to enter the System Setup. Then, navigate to "Device Settings" and select your RAID controller.
2. Manage Foreign Configuration:
Importing:
Go to "Configuration Management" and then "Manage Foreign Configuration".
Select "Preview Foreign Configuration" to see what disks are involved.
Choose "Import Foreign Configuration" and confirm the action.
After importing, check the status of the virtual disks in "Virtual Disk Management".
Clearing:
Navigate to "Configuration Management" and then "Manage Foreign Configuration".
Select "Preview Foreign Configuration" to see the foreign configuration.
Choose "Clear Foreign Configuration" to remove the configuration.
3. Verify the Changes:
In "Virtual Disk Management," check the status of the virtual disks.
If importing, ensure the status is "Ready" or "Degraded".
If necessary, check the associated physical disks for rebuilding status.
