To share a folder on Windows Server 2022
right-click the folder in File Explorer
select Properties go to the Sharing tab and click Advanced Sharing.
After checking the "Share this folder" box and providing a share name and set configure permissions for the share and then click OK.
Finally click the Security tab to set NTFS permissions which control access to the folder's contents.
Steps to Share a Folder
Open File Explorer: and navigate to the folder you want to share.
Right-click: the folder and select Properties from the context menu.
Go to the Sharing tab: and click Advanced Sharing.
Check the (Share this folder) box .
Enter a Share Name .
Click the Permissions button: to set share permissions, which control network access.
Remove the (Everyone) group: by default, and click Add to specify users or groups with the necessary access.
Set permissions: Read - Change or Full Control for the added users or groups.
Click OK: to close the Share Permissions window.
Click the Security tab: to configure NTFS permissions.
Set permissions: to control access to the folder and its contents on the local server.
Click OK: to close the Properties window and complete the sharing process.
