It has been choppy waters to say the least since Sir Alex Ferguson retired after 27 years as Manchester United manager in 2013. The club has cycled through such management as David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They haven’t come close to winning either in the Premier League or in the Champions League and have just a couple of trophies to their name: in the Europa League and League Cup. Of course, being a massive club, they have been able to sign some great players, but they have also been linked with better players. Would Manchester United have been better if they signed all of their transfer targets?
