Maniac Mansion released in 1987, is the prequel to Day of the Tentacle. The game follows a group of seven teenagers as they attempt to rescue their friend Sandy from the weird Dr. Fred, who has come under the influence of an Evil Slimy Purple Meteor (yes you read that right).

The main protagonist Dave must choose two of his six available allies to join him in the mansion. With particular puzzles only being solvable by certain characters, this can cause for some serious headaches, and in the fashion of retro adventure games, there were many headaches to be had during this playthrough..
