
manjaro tricks - installing labview control design and simulation via docker part 2
------------------ Useful Links ------------------------------------
(1) install opensuse leap (not tumbleweed) 15.2
for manjaro:
sudo docker run -it --env="DISPLAY" --privileged --net=host opensuse/leap:15.2
firefox (used for testing visual server)
note: for ubuntu you may need to run the following prior to starting your container:
xhost +local:*

(2) install freecad for dependencies
zypper install -t pattern devel_basis
zypper install -yp vim neofetch FreeCAD libXinerama-devel
(3) mount the labview iso,
use the privileged to mount the docker iso after docker cp into the system
--privileged
(4) install as per normal using the install scripts
./INSTALL
(5) fix the PATH variable in the install script for the CD&Sim file as shown in the video
mount -o loop CD\&Sim2018.iso mount
vim ./INSTALL
(6) install CD&Sim by running the script
./INSTALL
once done with the install
umount mount
(7) copy the labview2018 files over to labview2020
cp -ar Labview2018Folder Labview2020Folder
(8) copy the entire natinst folder using docker cp over to your desktop or wherever
sudo docker cp -a container_name:/usr/local/natinst ~/Desktop/.
(9) run labview in your main desktop environment
