Manor Lords Gameplay | Episode 3 | The Greencaps save the day!
6This week’s episode of Manor Lords begins with an impending bandit attack! We’ve left ourselves vulnerable with a lack of troops and an empty treasury, leading to a race against time to defend our settlement from the invaders. Fortunately, we manage to launch a surprise raid on a bandit camp, securing funds and hiring mercenaries just in time. The greencaps save the day, bearing the brunt of the attack while our units remain relatively unscathed, and we make our stand from the safety of our Manor.
After the battle, we construct a corpse pit to bury the dead and then move on to our main objectives. We build a malt house and tavern, and conduct a thorough check of our settlement, readying it for further development. We establish an iron mine, bloomery, and smithy to produce tools for trade and generate consistent regional wealth from our abundant iron resources.
Next, we plan major industrial buildings, designating areas for artisans such as blacksmiths, tailors, cobblers, fletchers, and joiners, and add more burgage plots to expand our vegetable patches.
We assess our farms and start alternating crops to address the low ground fertility in Eichenhau. As our village grows, we examine the regional map to decide which region to claim next. Expanding the granary allows us to add more traders to our marketplace, increasing the influx of goods.
Plans are in place to expand or build a new marketplace to improve access to goods across town. We adjust job roles and add new burgage plots to address emerging issues.
To conclude, we add another farmhouse to enhance field management and regularly produce barley and flax. The barley will be used for ale production, aiding our push to tier 3 burgage plots, while the flax will be turned into linen and gambesons to outfit our army.
This episode wraps up with additional burgage expansions to ensure our food stores meet the growing demand.
