Many rich countries do not prioritize fighting hunger, says Janja

🌍 International Power | First Lady Janja Lula da Silva said that combating hunger and poverty are not priorities for "many, many rich countries" while participating in the Ministerial Breakfast for Nutrition Champions in New York this Wednesday (September 24, 2025). The event took place in New York at the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the UN.
In addition to Janja, the authorities present were Irish Minister of State Neale Richmond; Mohammed Ali, Director-General of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC); and Sierra Leone's Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Jiwoh Abdulai. According to the First Lady's social media post, Brazil was cited several times as a global benchmark.
