Maquette Review: A Recursive Puzzle World!
203Maquette's big twist is that its entire game world is recursive, with multiple coexisting layers of reality wrapped around each other like a set of Russian nesting dolls. With such a mind-twisting premise, you would think that Maquette would be an incredibly complicated puzzle game, but it defies expectation by cutting out anything remotely superfluous, presenting a simplicity that belies its cleverness. It's also about a fairly generic and vague romance, for some reason.
